About the glow
Every aura crystal starts as a natural stone. In a vacuum chamber, a whisper-thin layer of metal (titanium, gold, or platinum) is bonded to the surface, and the stone comes back wearing a rainbow.
I choose the pieces, send them off for treatment, and keep the ones that come back showing off.
